How To Easily Install ZenCart Design Templates

Installing ZenCart design templates is easy. I ended up installing one tonight and wanted to note the location of some ZenCart templates as well as how easy it is to install the templates. ZenCart provides a great foundation for an ecommerce store which will allow you to customize any way you like. One thing that is very important from the beginning is the way you should go about customizing ZenCart. If done properly you will be able to keep your software up to date however if you start modifying any file in any location without proper notes then upgrading in the future will be near impossible. Instead of modifying the default ZenCart template you should copy all of the template files into another directory and modify this new group of files so you always have a solid ZenCart base.

Quickly Add a HTML META Tag to a Web Site Running Joomla

You can quickly add a meta element to a web site running Joomla using the web administration control panel. In my case I needed to add a meta tag to the index page of a web site for Google to authorize access to their Webmaster Tools section. When you sign up for the Webmaster Tools Google will ask for you to verify the site in one of two ways which are either adding a meta tag to the index page of the site or by creating a new HTML page. The easiest method using Joomla is to add the new meta tag.

Example Google Webmaster Tools Meta Tag:

bash

  1. <meta name="verify-v1" content="UDvQfRo10KRyyWW322Ssfz/sV3zdKrgLEo=" />

Add CSS Per Page With Joomla – Page Class Suffix Not Working

I think with the template I have installed for Joomla that the Page Class Suffix is broken for some reason so I cannot easily add CSS changes that way. I was amazed at how hard it was for me to locate how to do this. I searched forever on Google and could not find the correct answer as most people discussed using Page Class Suffix which again was not an option for me. Anyhow when it came down to it I took the following steps to do this and was really surprised at how easy it was.

In Extensions >> Template Manager you can assign pages to different templates with Joomla. So the easiest solution for me was to copy my current template over to a new directory as described below.
