Earlier tonight I was working on a spreadsheet with thousands of rows and over a dozen columns so I kept forgetting which column was which when working down inside the spreadsheet. I knew there was a way to have a a single row or multiple rows always display at the top of the spreadsheet but was not sure exactly how and I was unable to find the option in the Google Docs Spreadsheet drop downs. I finally figured out how to have a set number of rows always display at the top of a Google Spreadsheet and have shared the information below.
Trackbacks, also known as pingbacks, in WordPress are a great idea however they typically generate a lot of SPAM for little benefit. A trackback is generated within a post on your site by another bloggger linking to your WordPress article. Personally I disable the display of trackbacks in most WordPress sites however I still let the sites backend process trackbacks as it normally would. This means the person generating the trackback assumes that it functions properly and the WordPress site owner still receives notification via email of the trackback or pingback. Recently though my stance is changing to completely disable trackbacks on all posts and to go back and disable it in article that were previously published and disable trackbacks in those as well because the SPAM has been getting more intense over the past 6 months. Use the instructions below to disable trackbacks on your WordPress site.
It is not obvious how to insert multiple rows in a Google Docs spreadsheet anywhere in the spreadsheet. Google has a button to add a variable number of rows at the bottom of the sheet shown below, but no obvious button to insert anywhere in the sheet.
I am by no means a CSS guru but I definitely have to do my fair share. Last night I was struggling with creating a three column grid with multiple rows inside of another div. Everything I was trying ended up blowing out of the sides of the original div or no matter what I tried I was unable to get the image and text within each chunk of the grid to line up properly. Below is the HTML file with the CSS built in for easy testing and then it can be picked apart to use however you see fir. This was definitely the most helpful way for me to integrate with my other templates once I was able to visualize it in the most simple manner.
