I downloaded My Backup Pro to use as a secondary backup on my Google Nexus 7 device which is running Android 4.2. When attempting to configure the the email address and password associated to the My Backup Pro account it continued to reject the information I was providing. Initially I thought the password must be too long, which it was, but even after shortening it to the allowed fifteen characters it continued to reject my settings. It ended up being the email address I used not being accepted because it included a “-“. Below I describe a bit more and provide a screenshot of the screen in question.
We received a request for an article for pdgmail which is a Python script that analyzes Windows and Linux browser process dumps where the browser had Gmail open. I was able to test on 32-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, and 32-bit Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Unfortunately the methods I was using did not work properly on the 64-bit Ubuntu however it worked perfectly on both 32-bit operating systems I tested. Below I describe how pdgmail can be used to dump Firefox process memory using Process Dumper on Backtrack Linux which is technically Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
Redmine: The following error occured while sending email notification: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first.
Recently while working on a CentOS Linux server I downgraded Ruby version 1.8.7 p302 to Ruby version 1.8.6 p399 because of a project that was built for Ruby 1.8.6. The server is a development CentOS Linux server with numerous other projects already operational on it and so downgrading Ruby caused a couple issues one of which was with Redmine project management software. The issue was with sending email notifications for things such as file uploads, added issues, issue updates, etc. Below I describe the error in more detail, the reason for the error, and how to resolve the error sending email notifications.
