The day I got my new Macbook pro I was searching around and installing the mac versions of all my favorite software. When I got to Skype I of course, downloaded the most current version. The program installed fine but when I entered my credentials and hit connect Skype just hung there for about ten minutes and then said it was unable to connect. This was pretty unusual since Skype has always been a great program so I decided to get to the bottom of the problem so I could hopefully help the next person who has this problem.
Recently Lots of people ave been asking about using autopwn in Metasploit. It used to be that it used a Sqlite3 database however the folks over at Metasploit say it is unstable and we should use Postgress. Last night I was working on a project and needed to transfer some files from one of my Windows computers at home to my laptop at the computer shop. Below are instructions on how to transfer files between computers via Windows 7 Remote Desktop.
There is a device I am doing testing on that can either use dial-up as a backup connection or if the location does not have broadband it can use dialup as the primary connection. It has been interesting doing so much dialup testing recently since it has been almost 10 years since I have done much with dial-up. One of the ways to test dialing out from Linux is to use minicom which will allow you to communicate with the modem installed on your computer. So minicom will setup the connection to the modem and then AT commands can be used to dial the number of your dialup provider. Below we describe how to configure minicom and then a brief list of AT commands that can be used.
