Stop GoToMeeting From Saving All Chat Logs On Windows 7

I was browsing some folders on my Windows 7 PC today looking for something and noticed a bunch of RTF (Rich Text Format) files in my users “My Documents” folder. After a bit of investigation I realized that they were GoToMeeting chat logs that I wasn’t even aware were being saved. I guess by default the GoToMeeting software saves a chat log for every meeting in rich text format which is annoying because if you are in a bunch of meetings the files just pile up. Things wouldn’t be as bad if the chat logs were appended to the same file but generating a new file for each chat by default just doesn’t seem like the most user friendly way to do things. Follow the simple directions below to turn off the GoToMeeting chat logs.

Modify File Associations On Windows 7

I recently updated iTunes and QuickTime on my Windows 7 PC and afterwards noticed that when opening a .PSD (Photoshop Document) file that instead of opening in Photoshop the file opened in PictureViewer. I wasn’t even familiar with PictureViewer at first however after a little searching I realized that PictureViewer is now installed with QuickTime by default which is really annoying since I already have dozens of picture viewing applications. Anyhow what it meant was that I needed to modify how file types associated to applications which is what is described in more detail. I will first describe how to change a single file type to match a single application and then I will describe how to associate a single program to many file types at the same time.

How To Open .ECW Files On A Mac, EclipseCrossword On A Mac

Unfortunately EclipseCrossword is only available for Windows so you cannot install it directly on OSX on a Macintosh computer without the use of third party software. This leaves you a couple options if you only need to view the .ECW files including installing EclipseCrossword via third party software on the Macintosh or have someone with a Windows computer convert the ECW file to a format you can view more easily on your Mac. Below I describe each option in more detail.

How to Set Up a Brother MFC-5890cn Printer on 64bit Ubuntu Linux

I have just spent about 2 days trying to get my printer at the shop working and I finally did so i figured I would share the results of two days of head bashing on the keyboard.  It seems the MFC-5890cn is not a very popular printer so there are no drivers included with CUPS for it. Normally you can go to Linux Printing and get a PPD file but in this situation the printer was not listed in Linux printing. Below I will outline the steps I used to get this printer going in Linux.
