Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\ntoskrnl.exe

If you receive the below error on Windows XP then your boot partition has likely become corrupted for some reason. I would suggest that immediately following repairing the boot partition that you backup all of your important files or all of your files if possible because a lot of the time if the boot partition goes bad it is a warning sign that the entire drive is going to go bad very soon if it hasn’t already.

DAEMON Tools: Mounted ISO Image Install Error: Please Insert Into Drive K:

I recently downloaded a trial version of an application that was packaged as an ISO image. I decided to mount the image with Daemon Tools to install the trial instead of burning to a DVD and installing that way. Anyhow I mounted the image which then became drive K: on my computer. Next I clicked on the setup.exe file which launched the trial installation process. After setting a few configuration options the process attempted to begin however I received an error as shown below.

DAEMON Tools: Insert Into Drive Error

Error: Please insert Application Name into drive K:\ to continue the installation.
