I wrote an article a couple weeks ago regarding a shell script to run that would provide a postgres user read only access to every table in a specific database. Tonight I was updating a over a dozen databases and needed to provide read only access to all of them to a specific user so I decided to update the bash script from a couple of weeks ago to take a couple variables from the shell so you could specify database and user. When attempting to uninstall the Ask Toolbar on a laptop earlier I ran into numerous issues including receiving an error 1730. The error 1730 displayed even though I was logged into the Windows Vista laptop as an administrator and following the proper directions for uninstallation. Below I describe numerous steps to take that will guarantee that the Ask Toolbar application is uninstalled including removing any leftover Ask Toolbar files.
A friend of mine has a computer shop and earlier today I was looking at a laptop with him that had a bunch of issues including three different toolbars being installed in Internet Explorer. Having this many toolbars installed will only slow things down. I recommend having one toolbar at most installed and personally I prefer the Google Toolbar because I use so many different Google applications and Google won’t attempt to display a bunch of unwanted data in the top of your Internet Explorer browser window.
I have been using iTunes Affiliate Link Maker (iTALM) for a couple weeks now and had spoken to the developer a couple times before the previous upgrade. He was making a bunch of major changes and actually did a great job in getting the plugin to work now with displaying application affiliate links. It appears that when upgrading from previous versions that the version wasn’t set correctly and so now on every page of your WordPress admin site you will see the below warning message.
