Recently I had an issue where I needed to take a screenshot of an entire web page and since my monitor is fairly small on my laptop this is typically a pain. Luckily I discovered a Google Chrome Extension that makes accomplishing the task of taking a screenshot of an entire web page very easy. Below I describe installing and using the extension, which is called Screen Capture and was created by Google.
Take Screen Capture Of An Entire Web Page In Chrome:
First visit the extension details page in Google Chrome by clicking here which will open the below web page.
Click the blue Install button to install the Screen Capture Extension. Once installed you can click on the Screen Capture icon located to the right of the Google Chrome address bar as shown in the below example image.
You will have three options for taking screenshots of a web page which include Capture Region, Capture Visible Content, and Capture Whole Page as shown in the above image. If you select Capture Region you will be able to select a specific area of the web page to take a screenshot of and if you select Capture Whole Page you will get a screen capture of the entire web page including the area not visible on your monitor. You can then either copy the screen capture, modify the screen capture in Chrome, or save the screen capture image all of which are shown in the below example image.
This is a really great application for anyone who needs to take screenshots of web sites!
