Earlier today a client of mine sent over a .rwa file for me to figure out how to open for him. After the initial searching I found an answer on Yahoo that claimed .rwa files were from some ReliaSoft application called WeiBull++ and also stated that it was possible that the incorrect file association had been made. I was fairly confident neither of these were true in my case since the file was called payroll_reports.rwa I assumed that it was from my clients payroll processing company. I went back to the email that the client had forwarded to me and noticed that the initial email came from the epaylogic.com domain. I was able to find the information necessary to open the RWA file on the Paylogic site.
How To Open RWA Files From Paylogic:
- Download Evolution Report Reader Program: First visit the Paylogic Remote User Downloads page by clicking here. On this download page you will need to download the Evolution Report Reader Program which is 1.7MB in size. The file you download directly from Paylogic will be RWPreview.exe.
- Launch Evolution RWA Reader: Now double click the RWPreview.exe file to launch the RW Report Preview application as shown in the below example image.
- Open RWA File: Now click the open folder in the top left corner of the RWA Reader application and browse to the location of your .rwa file. It is likely the file is password protected which will display a Access Password input window when you attempt to open the RWA file as shown below.
Input the password to access the .RWA file.
With this simple utility from Paylogic called the Evolution Report Reader Program you can now view any of the .RWA files sent to you by Paylogic.

The ReliaSoft software is for reliability engineering, not for payroll. The .rwa file in ReliaSoft’s software is for warranty analysis.
Hello Kat,
There likely is two applications that save files with the .RWA file ending. The one in my case was an application from Paylogic so thanks for sharing that ReliaSoft’s .rwa files are used for warranty analysis.
Thanks.
