As many people know I am one of the administrators of the Backtrack-Linux forums. We generally do not have to many issues but today I had someone complaining that when posting code they were not able to use more than 25 characters. This is a issue since we encourage our users to use the
tags for there posts since it makes adding code much neater and easier to read & copy/paste. Below I will describe how to fix the error.
The exact error is:
The following errors occurred with your submission
you specified a tag that was too long. A tag can only be 25 characters.
In order to fix this you must have admin access to the vBulliten Control panel.
Once you are logged on to the control panel you select Settings and then in the submenu select options:
Once you do that there will be a section which is called Tag Maximum Length:
The default is 25 but the control panel has the option to change this to a max value of 100.
I changed mine to 100 as you can see in the picture and after I did that the user was able to post the code he was trying to post when he had the initial problem.
