I had a client come in the other day and she had just purchased some big huge bloated anti virus software solution and was having trouble with Windows Defender interfering with the software. I went ahead and disabled it completely for her and thought I would make a quick post on how to do it.
Its a fairly simple thing to do.
First of open up you start menu and type “services.msc” in the search box:
Select the services.msc program when it comes up at the top of the start menu.
Once you have that open scroll down to the “W” section until you see Windows Defender:
Right click on the Windows Defender line and select properties:
Once the properties box comes up you simply change the drop down box to disabled.
Now when you reboot Windows Defender will not bother you any more.
