Unable To Remove AVG 8.5 From Windows Computer: Error Avg9DetectedDlg

A client computer recently had an issue launching Internet Explorer. Every time that you would click on Internet Explorer or Firefox the browser would attempt to launch and then immediately close. I finally decided to try and update AVG Antivirus and Antispyware but the update failed. At this point I was pretty sure that AVG was the issue so I attempted to uninstall AVG which also failed. Microsoft Security Essentials Unable To Remove Trojan:Win32/Dursg.C Found In lsass.exe

A client called me today saying that a computer I had recently removed the Personal Security Virus from now appeared to have another virus. I was surprised by this since I had left Microsoft Security Essentials installed and active. My first thought was that he must have disabled the virus software however when I started looking at the laptop this was not the case. Below I describe steps I took to resolve the issue that were unsuccessful in remove the Trojan:Win32/Dursg.C as well as what I finally did that resolved the issue.

Roxio 2010: The File You Are Trying To Use Cannot Be Edited, And Has Not Been Added

When using Roxio Creator Premier 2010 to encode a video to DVD format and burn to disc I received an error. I have been burning AVI, MPEG, MP4, Quicktime, and other video formats using this version of Roxio Creator 2010 for some time so I was surprised to receive an error. Initially I thought that the error was caused by file permissions on the file because a friend had provided it to burn and this was the only initial difference that I could find with the video versus other videos that I had burned. Below I describe how to troubleshoot this error and what I eventually did to resolve and move past this error. In the end I was able to burn this video using Roxio Creator 2010.
