I use Evernote mostly for management of notes across multiple computers and so if my laptop ever crashes again I don’t have to sweat losing all of the notes I have taken. A friend that also uses Evernote was asking about file attachment which I had not used before so I looked into how to do it. Below is information on how to attach files to the Windows desktop premium Evernote edition.
Attach Files to Evernote Premium:
- Open Evernote Desktop:First just open the Windows Evernote desktop version.
- Open New Note:Click the New Note button in the top navigation of the Evernote desktop version. This will open a new note in the application. Below is an image of a new note that I have detached from the Evernote application.
- Drag & Drop File:Now simply drag and drop any file into the Evernote note window and the file will upload and sync to Evernote. Once the file is successfully in the Evernote interface it will look like the below.
That is all you have to do to attach files to Evernote that will then be available via the web and via other computers running Evernote with your account configured. Just remember even with the premium version there is a 500MB per month upload limit.
