I recently purchased the FREETALK TALK-5068 buddy pack as they call it which includes 2 web cameras, 2 headsets, and 2 vouchers for Skype minutes. Let me start by saying that the web cameras are awesome and the kit was definitely worth the money. The cameras have a rubber bendy base in the form of a body with arms and legs so you can easily stand the camera up on your desk, sling the arms over your laptop screen, etc.
No Voucher Redemption:
So inside the FREETALK TALK-5068 buddy kit there are two vouchers or Unique Numbers as they are called on the card which enable you to load your Skype account with some minutes. Its not a lot of minutes but each card is worth two Skype voucher codes of €0.51 or around $0.70. So both cards ended up providing me around $2.80 of credit to make international calls or send SMS text messages, etc. The confusing part is the fact that the cards say that you need to go to www.freetalk.me and follow the instructions. This must have been the old way that the vouchers were redeemed because now FreeTalk.me is nothing but manuals for the FREETALK product line.
To turn your Unique Number into a Skype voucher number you will need to visit In Store Shop and click on the Voucher tab or just click here. You will go through a six step process. I noticed that in IE and FireFox that the page would blow out sometimes so do not be surprised if you see a blank screen. Chances are if you scroll down it will be below the ending of the right column. I would recommend using FireFox as Internet Explorer was causing more problems than FF was. One other issue I ran into was the fact that one of the Unique Numbers was rejected the first time I entered it. The second time I entered the number after pressing the “Return to Previous Screen” button it worked without issue.
Good luck and enjoy the free Skype minutes.
