I wasn’t able to find much information about the BQ25 online so I figured I would post what I was able to come up with in case anyone else is looking.
BQ25 Manufacturer: Back-up Q
The manufacturer is Back-up Q located I believe in China. Their website doesn’t have much information on it and the support section consisted of a contact form.
BQ25 Driver:
You should not need a driver for Windows XP or Windows Vista. I was able to plug in via USB to each and have the driver installed without issue.
BQ25 Info:
I did notice however though when I attempted to plug in the power and the USB cable to the BQ25 that Windows would not recognize it properly. It took me a little while to figure out that the problem was related to the power adapter.
BQ25 Modem Number: PENR-25
One thing I do know is that searching the web for PENR-25 is not going to produce many results especially for a 2.5 inch IDE hard drive enclosure.
If anyone has more information relating to this device please post in the comments below.
Hi,
I have the same type, modelnr. PENR-25
, i start to have problems with it. When i want to connect it via usb to my laptop ( which the software on it, is with Linux -Ubuntu) it will not open anymore ( i never had this problem) .
Ive already tried it with differend cables, with one usb cable i have, the red light goes on, but there is no connection. With the other cable there is no reaction at all..
Can you help..?
Btw,as you may know, you can connect the hard disk with another connection besids the usb, do you know the type of cable..?
You were not kidding when you said the Internet held very little information on this. I have one, and I am going to see if it works today.
I may not have the correct power cord for this. It needs an Output of 5v, and all the cords I have do not have the end correct. I am not even sure if the drive works; if you are willing to take a chance with it, I will mail it to you for the cost of the postage, or about $5.25. You want it?
