Posting a single picture from a NextGen Gallery into a WordPress post is easy to do though I always seem to forget the actual syntax to do so. There are two ways in which you can display the image within a post which are to use the NextGen Gallery button from the kitchen sink interface within WordPress or you can simply use the syntax listed below.
WordPress NextGen Gallery Button:
To use the NextGen Gallery button from the WordPress button post simply click on the proper icon which when hovered over displays the text “Add NextGen Gallery”. Once clicked the button will pop up a window as shown below.
From this pop up configuration menu you can post a NextGen Gallery, a NextGen Album, or a single picture. Just choose the correct tab followed by the options to post the NextGen information you choose to include in your WordPress post.
Post NextGen Picture With Syntax:
To post a NextGen Gallery single image use the syntax below.
- [singlepic id=4493 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Options in the above syntax include image ID, width, height, and location. You can post numerous NextGen items per WordPress post.
Thanks, I think I prefer the syntax box. I think it gives you greater control.

Hello lilia,
No problem. We are glad to hear that it provided you valuable information regarding the conversion of a HTML only site to a WordPress blog. I think you will be happy with the choice to convert your site over to WordPress as the possibilities are endless and not only is WordPress very actively developed but the plugins, such as NextGen Gallery, available are amazing. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback.
Thanks,
alex
