One of my sisters recently sent me a link to a photo gallery slide show online at kodakgallery.com. The gallery is in a flash slideshow format where you can scroll through the pictures, etc. I wanted to save a couple of the pictures to my desktop to upload to a personal photo gallery however within the flash application you are unable to right click the image and save it to your desktop. It took me a second to figure out but you can actually save these images to your desktop by exiting the slide show and viewing the images outside of the flash application.
When you are viewing a Kodak Gallery in the slide show format it will look similar to the below.
To exit the gallery and save the pictures simply click the Done button in the upper right corner of the slide show screen. This will exit the photo gallery slide show and take you to a page that lists each individual picture. You can now scroll through the pictures manually. When you come to the image/images you want to save simply click on the image to expand it and then right click the larger image and save to your computer.
The images will be saved as JPEG’s, or .jpg, images on your computer. The resolution is not so great with the dimensions being around 450 x 400. These should however be good enough for an online gallery or whatever you need to use them for. If you plan to make prints though I would suggest attempting to get the original source files from the photographer.

Hello fozi safdar,
Please check the following post for the answer to your question –> http://www.question-defense.com/glc
You have to make at least one purchase every 12 months to continue storage with KodakGallery.com.
Thanks Alex so much for this info!!!! I’ve been cursing and actually boycotting this darn Kodak Gallery for months now, for not letting me save my brother’s pictures. Now I’ve finally got them and I’m so happy!!! Thanks a million!! :))

Hey Alex.
Do you know how I can do it on a mac? Normally I would be able to drag it to iphoto, but Kodak Gallery does not let me pick up pictures.
Thanks so much!
Hello Ashley,
It should be similar to Windows in the sense that once you are outside of the Flash application you should be able to save the images. I don’t have a Mac in front of me to test with but if the dragging into iPhoto doesn’t work then try right clicking and “Saving As” or something similar. Hope that helps.
Thanks.

I followed your instructions on how to save an individual photo from Kodak Slideshow.
However, when I selected the photo I wanted to save, I clicked on it, it came onto the screen, but when I ‘right’ cliked on it, nothing happened. I did not get another window allowing me to save it.
I am on a Windows 7 64bit computer.
Hello Don,
The instructions in the article are what worked for me and I only had to do this one time for my sister. It has been awhile since the article was written so it is definitely possible that something has changed on the site that doesn’t allow you to save images in this manner anymore. If you figure out a solution let us know so others will find the information helpful.
Thanks.

It’s satisfying on one hand to know I did nothing wrong, but unsatisfying that I can’t get it to work.
If I find a solution, I’ll post it here.
Thanks for the reply.
Hello Don,
I took a quick look at the Kodak site. It looks like you can only download pictures from shared galleries that have been shared with download available. If it is your own gallery you should be able to download or if it is a shared gallery just contact the person that shared the gallery and have them enable downloads for you.
Thanks.
