Ever since I started using windows I had to switch for irssi to X-chat for my irc client. I know there is a irssi for Windows but it lacked many of the features the Linux version has. So anyway, I am a horrible speller so I decided I needed spell check on X-Chat. Turns out it is pretty easy to do so I decided to make a quick post on the steps.

When attempting to upgrade PostgreSQL on Windows XP using the One-Click installer provided by EnterpriseDB I received the below error.

Error copying file from packed archive C:/downloads/postgresql-8.3.5-2-windows.exe to C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.3/bin/comerr32.dll

After receiving this error I aborted the upgrade at which time Windows popped up the below error.

Notepad++ is an upgraded notepad application that provides a lot of functionality past the typical notepad application in Windows. Not only does it provide a tab system to view multiple files easily at the same time but it provides functionality to open and edit many more file types. To add spellcheck to Notepad++ you will need to download and install Aspell which you can complete by using the directions below.
