Recently I started using a USB flash drive to store my Xbox 360 gamer profile on and realized it would be nice to name it properly so if I have decide to have more than one USB flash drive in use with my Xbox 360 they won’t both be named the default of Memory Unit. Instead of having a hard drive on your Microsoft Xbox 360 you can instead use any USB hard drive. The limitation is the fact that you can only format 16GB of any USB drive to work with the Xbox 360 so unless you want multiple partitions on the USB drive I would actually just purchase a USB flash drive with a maximum of 16GB of usable space. To use the USB flash drive with your Xbox 360 you have to first format the drive which is explained in detail below.

By default when you plug in a external hard drive via USB to a Windows XP computer auto play will automatically launch. This can be beneficial if you rarely plug in USB hard drives and when you do you like to decide what action to take such as copying pictures from the drive to the local computer or printing documents from the drive to a network printer. In most scenariosĀ  though you will probably be moving files to and from the external hard drive to your computer and the auto play pop up is annoying. It is even more annoying if you almost always have the external hard drive attached so every single time you reboot your Windows XP computer you have to deal with one more annoying pop up. Below is information on how to disable the automatic auto play pop up per USB hard drive.
