Recently I started using a USB flash drive to store my Xbox 360 gamer profile on and realized it would be nice to name it properly so if I have decide to have more than one USB flash drive in use with my Xbox 360 they won’t both be named the default of Memory Unit. Instead of having a hard drive on your Microsoft Xbox 360 you can instead use any USB hard drive. The limitation is the fact that you can only format 16GB of any USB drive to work with the Xbox 360 so unless you want multiple partitions on the USB drive I would actually just purchase a USB flash drive with a maximum of 16GB of usable space. To use the USB flash drive with your Xbox 360 you have to first format the drive which is explained in detail below.

A client called me today saying that a computer I had recently removed the Personal Security Virus from now appeared to have another virus. I was surprised by this since I had left Microsoft Security Essentials installed and active. My first thought was that he must have disabled the virus software however when I started looking at the laptop this was not the case. Below I describe steps I took to resolve the issue that were unsuccessful in remove the Trojan:Win32/Dursg.C as well as what I finally did that resolved the issue.

If you got a new computer like me then you probably want to move your Skype history from your old computer to the new one. In my case I needed to move my Skype history from a Windows XP computer to a Windows 7 computer. This is fairly easy but you want to make sure to do this as quickly as possible so you don’t loose any new conversations on the new computer when you copy the actual data over to the new computer. Follow the directions below and you will have all of your Skype history on the new computer in no time. The below has the same concept on any Operating System but the guidelines are very similar for all Windows computers and Windows Vista has the same path as Windows 7.

Another handy feature of Evernote I just discovered is the ability to easily install it on a USB thumb drive. This would allow you to take all of your notes with you anywhere easily. The main advantage here is if you have an Internet connection some of the time but not all of the time and you would need access to those notes with or without the Internet connection. Evernote Portable would allow you continue to update those notes via the USB thumb drive and then synchronize with the Evernote system at a later date. Below I will describe how to install Evernote Portable on a USB drive and list some of the details regarding the new installation.
