Recently I have been using my Xbox 360 gamer profile a lot at my office to stream music using Zune. While I do have an Xbox 360 at my office and at my house it can be a pain because I have to lug the hard drive with my Microsoft Xbox 360 Gamer Profile on it back and forth between the two locations. Last week I ordered a 16GB USB flash drive to move my account onto so I would only have to take a USB stick with me when streaming music at locations that already had a Xbox 360 in place.

Recently I started using a USB flash drive to store my Xbox 360 gamer profile on and realized it would be nice to name it properly so if I have decide to have more than one USB flash drive in use with my Xbox 360 they won’t both be named the default of Memory Unit. Instead of having a hard drive on your Microsoft Xbox 360 you can instead use any USB hard drive. The limitation is the fact that you can only format 16GB of any USB drive to work with the Xbox 360 so unless you want multiple partitions on the USB drive I would actually just purchase a USB flash drive with a maximum of 16GB of usable space. To use the USB flash drive with your Xbox 360 you have to first format the drive which is explained in detail below.

Tonight I needed to console into a old Cisco 2900 switch to test a couple password related items and it was the first time that I would be using  USB to Serial adapter on my Macbook. Previously there had been a lot of issues with the adapter I have, which is a PL-2303, and getting the right drivers installed on Windows 7 64-bit so I was thinking there might not even be drivers available for OSX Lion. After a little research I cam across an article that purehate had written on QD however after following the instructions in the article the USB to Serial adapter still was not working. Below is information on installing newer drivers that will work on OSX Lion.

I have a specific way I like to configure how my iPhone interacts with the computer I am using such as when I take pictures on my iPhone I like for those pictures to be imported automatically to the computer when the iPhone is plugged in via USB and after the images are imported I want them to be deleted from the iPhone until I organize them to be synced back to the iPhone at a later time. I also don’t want an application to open and stay open on the computer as I prefer that the import process happens in the background without having to close the application used to import the images. This was a bit of a pain to configure on my new Macbook as the application used to accomplish my goal is a bit hidden and doesn’t like to stay running for any amount of time. Use the information below to sync images form your iPhone to your Mac computer running OSX and for the images to be purged from the iPhone once they have been imported.
