We use the Pretty Link Pro WordPress plugin, which is a bargain and can be purchased by clicking here, to tweet articles under the @questiondefense Twitter account. This not only is easy to do with Pretty Link Pro but it provides a great method of driving traffic to our articles here on Question-Defense.com. There have been numerous times when one of us forgets to check the tweet article checkbox in the Pretty Link Pro bucket from the Add New Post page when writing articles. The issue with that is the fact that once an article is published there is no tweet article button from the Edit Post page within WordPress. Below we describe the process of tweeting a post after it has been published in WordPress.

Posts Tagged “twitter”I initially wrote an article about the Pretty Link Twitter Badge not displaying back in March of 2012 and it appears some things have changed since then. The issue in my case is a conflict between the Pretty Link WordPress plugin and Greg’s High Performance SEO WordPress plugin. Since the original article it appears that the GHPSEO has modified the location of a variable I modified to resolve the issue. Below is information on how to resolve. Pretty Link Pro Social Network Bar Not Displaying In WordPress PostsPosted by alex in InsightsI have been using Pretty Link Pro, which is a WordPress Plugin, for a long time and it has definitely generated a lot of traffic for this site. Recently I noticed that Pretty link was no longer displaying the Social Media bar near the bottom of each post. This “social media” bar displays links to popular social media sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, Digg, Twitter, Reddit, Technorati, StumbleUpon, etc. and automatically inserts a link back to the post with the idea that if the content is easy for people to share they will do so. MyTouch 3G Android: The Application Twidroyd (process com.twidroid) Has Stopped UnexpectedlyPosted by alex in ErrorsMy wife has a T-Mobile MyTouch 3G cell phone running Android software and tonight she told me about an issue she was having with her favorite Twitter application called Twidroyd. She upgraded the application as recommended by Android but then when she went to start Twidroyd after the upgrade it would crash every single time. Then she attempted to drag the application to the trash on her MyTouch desktop however that would also fail. Below I describe what steps I tried to take to remove Twidroyd and then how I was finally able to remove the application from Android. Restore Trillian Activity History On Windows 7, Import Trillian Chat HistoryPosted by alex in InsightsAs noted in previous articles my laptops Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating system install became corrupted after I attempted to install the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 update. I believe the issue was related to some sort of software conflict so not necessarily all SP1′s fault though you would think there would be some form of error checking involved in the install. I waited out the upgrade for over 8 hours but in the end it still failed out. Anyhow during the process of reinstalling Windows 7 x64 on my laptop and installing all of the applications that were installed previously I wanted to restore my Trillian chat history for all of the various Trillian Connections. Below I describe what connections were configured and what Trillian Connections chat logs were restored.
