We had a customer come in the computer shop the other day who needed us to troubleshoot an external hard drive that was crashing his Mac OSX laptop every time he plugged the USB cable from the external hard drive in. Once he left I removed the hard drive from the external hard drive enclosure and needed to find a way to access the data from my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit laptop to verify the hard drive was functioning as expected. We previously published an article on how to convert .WRF and .ARF files generated from WebEx presentations to .WMV format to be viewed without requiring the WebEx Player. Since many people have iPhone’s, iPod Touch’s, and use Mac’s running OSX it makes sense to follow up on that article and show how to take the .WMV files to .MP4 format so it can be synced to your iPhone or iPod Touch or simply played in QuickTime on your Macintosh computer. Follow the directions below to convert the WMV file, which was generated from a WRF/ARF file in this article, to MP4 format.

I have been using QTTabBar in Windows XP for over a year and have been really satisfied with the functionality it added to Windows Explorer. When I received my new laptop one of the first applications I installed was the QTTabBar and at first it seemed as though things were working without issue. After a short amount of time I realized that there were some issues the most obvious being the fact that every time a Windows Explorer Window was opened the QTTabBar tabs would be blank and most of the time the the QT Tab Standard Buttons toolbar would not be displaying when Windows Explorer was launched. Below I describe the issues I saw having QTTabBar installed with Windows 7 in detail.
