Typically when I want to modify a setting related to one of the browsers I use I open the main Preferences configuration window, navigate to the correct sub section, make the modification, and then save the new browser configuration setting. Opera does have a typical Preferences configuration window however I was initially unable to locate the torrent settings from within the that Preferences configuration window so I had to do a little more digging to find out where to modify the Opera Torrent Settings. Below I display the default Opera Preferences window where I could not find the Torrent Settings and then the proper way to modify the Opera web browser torrent settings.bandwidth restricting mode, bit torrent, bittorrent, editor, listening port, max download rate, max upload rate, opera, opera preferences, opera:config, preferences, preferences editor, settings, torrent, web browser

As of Opera 10 you can set Opera to update automatically, notify of updates only, or to not even check for updates. I don’t use Opera daily however I probably do use it at least once a week for various tasks such as torrent downloads. Recently when I launched Opera it let me know that an update was available and asked if I wanted to download and install. I quickly clicked yes to upgrade Opera but realized that there was another option that was checked to upgrade Opera automatically in the future. I personally like to be notified about upgrades and then run the upgrade myself when it is convenient so I needed to modify this setting back to only notify me of new Opera updates. Below are instructions on how to set Opera web browser to upgrade automatically, notify you of Opera browser updates, or to not even check for new updates available for the Opera web browser.advanced, auto-update, opera, preferences, security, update, web browser
If you are not very familiar with torrents then it is very easy to download them using Opera web browser. The .torrent files are configuration files that list a group of smaller files that need to be downloaded to create the larger file you are trying to obtain. The great thing about using Opera for torrents is the fact that you don’t have to be very familiar with the configuration of a more complex file you can simply click on the .torrent file and Opera will do the rest after you tell it the directory to download the torrent to.bit torrent, directory, download, opera, torrent, web browser

When doing quality testing on websites it is beneficial to not only have all of the latest major browsers for testing (including Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla FireFox, Opera, and Google Chrome), but also to have older versions of some browsers installed especially older versions of Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is notorious for making huge changes to the way it handles CSS and other design elements between versions. Just because a web site looks great in IE7 does not mean it will display correctly in IE6, IE5, etc.chrome, CSS, firefox, IE5.5, IE6, IE7, iexplorer.exe, Internet Explorer, mozilla, opera, QA, runtime, safari, Testing, unzip, usability

There is a web page on Adobe’s web site that will display the current version of the Flash Player that you have installed for a certain browser. Use the below URL to see the current version of Flash followed by the latest versions of Flash located at the bottom of the web page.
Current Flash Player Version: Click Here
Please be aware that there are different versions of the Flash Player for Windows based on your browser. If you have the newest version installed for Internet Explorer then it does not mean that you have the latest version installed for FireFox. Safari, Opera, and FireFox do all use the same version of the Flash Player but Internet Explorer is a different plugin so keep that in mind if you are seeing something different between browsers.
The same is true for Macintosh in a different way. There are different versions of Flash Player for OS X PowerPC and OS X Intel.Tags: firefox, Flash, flash player, Internet Explorer, opera, os x, plugin, PowerPC, safari, version, windows
