Recently I wanted to change the splash screen for BackTrack 5r3 which runs on a base of Ubuntu Linux 10.04 codename Lucid. To do this follow the steps below so each time your computer reboots you can have the splash screen of your choice. Do keep in mind that if the kernel is updated you may have to follow these instructions again.

Booting Mac OSX into single user mode is fairly easy though I did run into an issue when using a Windows USB keyboard. Single user mode will allow you to modify the system without logging in for items such as changing the Mac OSX administrator password. Follow the directions below to boot into single user mode on Max OSX.

I previously had written an article about the G1 locking up but at a logo screen for T-Mobile/Android. This time it appears that my wife’s cell phone had an issue during boot of some sort. Check out the image below.
