Recently I wanted to change the splash screen for BackTrack 5r3 which runs on a base of Ubuntu Linux 10.04 codename Lucid. To do this follow the steps below so each time your computer reboots you can have the splash screen of your choice. Booting Mac OSX into single user mode is fairly easy though I did run into an issue when using a Windows USB keyboard. I previously had written an article about the G1 locking up but at a logo screen for T-Mobile/Android. This time it appears that my wife’s cell phone had an issue during boot of some sort. Check out the image below.
