Enable ActiveSync when syncing contacts/calendars with mobile devices (including iPhone) with a Google Apps account

I followed the instructions to Google Sync with my iPhone, but the iPhone would do nothing even when I opened Contacts or Calendar on the iPhone. The issue was that the Google account was on Google Apps and not a regular Google account.

Turn on ActiveSync on Google apps with these instructions. Also see the below screenshot.

Force Remove or Uninstall SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows SmartPhone

It is possible when attempting to uninstall SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows SmartPhone from your Windows PC that you will not be able to do so.

The initial error I received was the fact that ActiveSync was not installed. The details of the error are below.
ERROR: SlingPlayer Mobile For Windows Smartphone – InstallShield Wizard
ERROR: Microsoft ActiveSync is Not Installed. Please install Microsoft ActiveSync 3.8 or greater to continue Installation.
