It is not obvious how to insert multiple rows in a Google Docs spreadsheet anywhere in the spreadsheet. Google has a button to add a variable number of rows at the bottom of the sheet shown below, but no obvious button to insert anywhere in the sheet.

Earlier today a client called and said he had a virus or some spyware on his computer that could not be removed. The client was remote so I had to login to his computer to investigate. I used the typical tools such as Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials but the issue still existed. It seemed as if the computer had a proxy server configured but the proxy did not show underneath Internet Explorer connection settings or any of the other browsers. It didn’t happen all of the time but every now and then a pop up window would appear for the site GimmieAnswers.org and some other pop ups regarding “Daily Giveaway Contests” were also displaying. Below is more information on how the issue was resolved.

While working on a friends computer he asked if I could install the printer software for his Brother printer so I downloaded and attempted to install the Brother MFL-Pro Suite onto his computer. After downloading and unpacking the software I clicked down into what I thought was the correct folder and attempted to run the Setup.exe file to install the Brother printer software but I received an error which is explained below along with the correct information for installing the Brother MFL-Pro Suite software.

Yesterday I was working on our landlords computer which was a Sony VAIO and at one point I needed to turn off VAIO Gate which is similar to the Windows Sidebar. Turning off VAIO Gate is fairly easy via the X in the right corner of the VAIO Gate drop down and you can easily set it to not start when Windows starts. I describe both of these items as well as how to start VAIO Gate automatically.

When I booted my Dell Studio XPS laptop yesterday I received an error regarding the Wireless Configuration application. I first rebooted to see if it was just a fluke however I received the same error again. Below I describe the error in more detail as well as how to resolve the error by disabling a service that likely is not necessary.
