A client of mine purchased a new laptop running Windows 7 64-Bit OS and needed to have the Panasonic DP-2330 printer they have at his office installed for use. Panasonic has only released beta Windows 7 64-Bit and Windows 7 32-Bit drivers for the Panasonic DP-2330 printer. Even though the drivers are beta they are working without issue after install. Follow the directions below to download the drivers and install them on your Windows 7 computer.

Download And Install Panasonic DP-2330 Printer Drivers On Windows 7:

  1. Download Driver: Visit the Panasonic DP-2330 driver download site by clicking here.  The link should take you directly to the Windows 7 section of the downloads but if it does not scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see DP-2330 printer drivers for both 32-Bit and 64-Bit drivers. Make sure to select the proper drivers for your Windows 7 version.
  2. Extract DP-2330 Drivers: Double click the Panasonic driver package you downloaded, currently the file is named dg3rvi64ae081105.exe, to begin the driver extraction process which will display as shown in the below image. If you have a location you currently store drivers then browse to that location to extract the drivers to but if you do not currently have a location you might consider extracting the files to “C:\Drivers” which should already exist on your Windows 7 computer.

Once you have selected the location to extract the files to click the Unzip button to extract the files which might display a success message as displayed below depending on the application that was used to extract the files. For this package on Windows 7 the default is WinZip. You can now OK out of the success message and click the Close button on the initial WinZip extraction window.

  3. Add Local Printer: Now open the Windows 7 Control Panel and underneath the Hardware and Sound sub section click on View Devices and Printers which will display the Devices and Printers configuration window as displayed below.

Windows 7 Devices and Printers Control Panel

Click the “Add a Printer” link located in the bar underneath the file menu which will start the Add a Printer configuration dialogue as displayed below.

Windows 7 Add A Printer Configuration Window

We want to click the top option which is “Add a local printer” which will take us to the port selection configuration window as displayed below. You will want to select the second radio button to “Create a new port” and then select “Standard TCP/IP” from the drop down menu both configuration options are displayed in the image below.

Windows 7: Create A New Standard TCP/IP Printer Port

Click the Next button to continue to the TCP/IP port configuration screen. Type the IP address of the printer into the “Hostname or IP address” field which will also fill out the Port Name field as shown in the below image. You can go ahead and uncheck the “Query the printer and automatically select  the driver to use” since Windows 7 does not have the proper Panasonic DP-2330 drivers installed.

Windows 7: Configure TCP/IP Printer Port

Click the Next button to continue on and Windows 7 will attempt to detect the port on the printer. If Windows does not recognize the port use the default “Generic Network Card” option and click Next. Now you will be selecting the drivers we extracted previously by clicking on the Have Disk button from the Install Printer Driver window displayed below.

Windows 7: Install The Printer Driver

The Have Disk button will pop open a Browse configuration window where you need to browse to the Panasonic DP-2330 printer drivers we extracted earlier. Windows will default to the A:\ drive but more than likely the drivers were extracted to C:\ so click the Browse button and navigate to the proper folder which will be something like “C:\Drivers\dp-2330″. Once you click OK out of the Browse window the list of printer drivers will now only display two options as shown below.

Panasonic DP-2330 Printer Drivers For Windows 7

Select your Panasonic printer version which will either be the DP-2330 or the DP-3030 and click the Next button. Windows will complain about the driver not being digitally signed but click to go ahead and install the driver anyway. The driver will now install and once complete will display a success message. I would click the Print Test Page to make sure the printer installed properly and then close out of all of the Add Printer configuration windows.

Your Panasonic DP-2330 or DP-3030 printer is now ready to use on your Windows 7 32-Bit or 64-Bit OS computer.

    Hello Ryan,

Sure no problem. I had configured this for a client of mine and they didn’t require scanning so I didn’t even set it up. I would imagine its possible but I have yet to do it for them. Once you figure out the directions we would love to hear what they are.

    Thanks.

I have a DP2310 with scanning installed and it works on all my Windows 7 clients. I downloaded the latest PCU’s for win7 32 and 64 bit and they both work.

    Hello Kevin,

I personally have not used the scanning function but it appears from Eric’s comments as though this works. If it does not for you then you might check firewall settings, etc.

    Thanks.

    Hello Tes,

Unfortunately the information I have for this device is in the article as I made the installation for a client and scanning not something they wanted implemented at the time for some reason. Anyhow if you found a solution let us know what it is so the next person looking for the answer in this article can find it in the comments.

    Thanks!
