Hello KM,

Have you tried removing all of the images from the iPhone? You might start with removing any images sent to you via email or downloaded from the Internet as they seem to cause an issue with the Camera driver. Please list what steps you have taken in an attempt to resolve the issue. If you read through the comments of this article you will see numerous suggestions that have worked for people outside of the article above.

Thanks.

Last week, and several weeks before, I was able to use the Scanner and Camera Wizard to retrieve my photos from my iPhone. Yesterday and today, things changed.

Err0r:

The computer cannot detect the scanner or camera. Please make sure the device is turned on and is properly connected to the computer.

The strange thing is that iTunes will detect my iPhone on both my computer and my laptop, but the Scanner and Camera Wizard won't. It gets more strange, my computer and my camera will detect my wife's iPhone with the Scanner and Camera Wizard, but simply won't detect mine. I tried rebooting the computers several times. I tried using all three different USB ports and the situation won't change.

Since I was able to use iTunes with the iPhone, I knew that the iPhone was connected properly and there were not any issues with the iPhone USB cable. Since I was able to get my wife's iPhone to work with the wizard, I know it is something about my iPhone that is not working.

Hello Ryann,

If you actually provide details to your issue it is possible we can assist. For instance has this ever worked for you? Are you using Windows XP SP3? Do you get the exact same error message? Any other details that you can provide will raise the probability of getting an answer that provides a solution for you.

Thanks.
