Even though older versions of Microsoft Word do not allow you by default to view .docx files created from Word 2007 you can install a compatibility pack that will allow you to do so. It is also possible for Word 2007 users to save files as .doc files instead of .docx files. Below we explain how to accomplish each goal.

I have been forgetting to turn off the remember password offer by Firefox for a long time. Every single time I login to a site Firefox will drop down a box below the tabs asking “Do you want Firefox to remember your password?”. This can be a convenient feature however  it is a better policy to always type in your password for many reasons. What if someone had access to your computer without your permission and all of your passwords were stored within Firefox? It would only take them a little amount of time before they had access to any site that you had previously logged into. To turn off the offer of remembering passwords in Firefox follow the below instructions.

Recently Gizmo5 added the ability to configure your Google Voice account within the Gizmo5 interface which allows for you to configure any SIP device (soft or hardware) to have free voice. I happened to have a SPA-2000 around so the below describes how to configure a Sipura SPA-2000 using Gizmo5 and a Google Voice account for free voice. For this howto you will need a SPA-2000, a Gizmo5.com account, and a Google Voice account.

Resetting a Sipura SPA-2000 to the factory default settings is easy. Awhile back I upgraded Internet Explorer and ever since the upgrade the start menu icon is showing as a generic default icon. I finally looked into what the issue was tonight and first thought that Windows has released a fix for the issue which you would just need to run an installer and it would resolve the issue. That ended up not fixing my problem however by editing the registry via regedit you can resolve the problem after a reboot. Follow the directions below to fix the Internet Explorer icon in your start menu.
