Sometimes it is necessary to hard reset a Plantronics Voyager 510 bluetooth headset if it stops responding to button presses or if you need to start pairing with another bluetooth device again. Below is an image describing the four buttons that can be pressed on the PLT-510 headset. These buttons can be pressed in various combinations to perform various tasks.

Now based on the image above you will need to hold the Power/Mute button and the Volume Down button at the same time for 3 seconds to reset the headset. Once the headset is reset the buttons should function again without issue. Also if you were getting ready to pair the Voyager 510 headset with another Bluetooth device you can do so now.

To pair the Voyager 510 headset with your cell phone or another bluetooth compatible device simply press the Volume Up and the Call Control buttons at the same time until the message indicator light blinks red then blue. Once the message indicator light is blinking in that sequence the other bluetooth device should be able to discover the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset. The default passkey is 0000 which will be required if you have not already paired with the other device before.
