DAEMON Tools: Mounted ISO Image Install Error: Please Insert Into Drive K:
Posted by alex in Errors at 3:48 PMI recently downloaded a trial version of an application that was packaged as an ISO image. I decided to mount the image with Daemon Tools to install the trial instead of burning to a DVD and installing that way. Anyhow I mounted the image which then became drive K: on my computer. Next I clicked on the setup.exe file which launched the trial installation process. After setting a few configuration options the process attempted to begin however I received an error as shown below.
Error: Please insert Application Name into drive K:\ to continue the installation.
Now the ISO image is already mounted with DAEMON Tools so technically the application is in drive K:\ however when clicking the OK button it simply pops up the same message again and again. Resolving this issue is easy as long as you have the disk space available. To resolve this issue with installing an application with a ISO image mounted with DAEMON Tools just create a temporary folder on your PC and copy all the the contents from the drive letter where the ISO image isĀ mounted into the new folder. Now click on the installation executable from this folder and the installation should proceed without issue. Once the installation is complete delete the temporary folder to save disk space.
