The easiest way to send encrypted email with Gmail that I have found is to do so with Firefox and the FireGPG plugin. You can either encrypt the message before typing it into Gmail or you can type the message and then highlight the text and run the FireGPG plugin to encrypt it. Below are a few simple steps that should help encrypt email you are sending through Gmail to someone who has a PGP key.

NOTE:The below steps are if the FireGPG buttons are not showing in Gmail and is a temporary fix until FireGPG is updated and the entire message can be encrypted. I will update this with a link to the new article/howto once FireGPG is updated.

CNN videos will not play most of the time on the iPhone or iPod Touch when attempting to access them right from cnn.com. After some searching and weeding through sites that claim to allow you to play embedded flash videos from your iPhone I located vTap. This site actually does allow you to convert videos on the fly and play them through a playlist organized on vTap.com and its all really easy.

To watch CNN video on your iPhone just follow the below instructions. This should also work for most other sites out there that you are having a hard time viewing the video on your iPod Touch or your iPhone.

Some people may wonder if their Broadvoice SIP account will work with Fring. The answer is yes. Other people may wonder if VoIP will work on their iPod Touch and again the answer is yes. Follow the easy steps below to configure Fring on your iPod Touch with Broadvoice VoIP service. Apple is coming out with a headset/mic combo for the iPod Touch but any second generation iPhone headset with a mic should work.

  1. Install Fring: Download Fring from iTunes and install Fring on your Touch.

When attempting to install application on your iPhone you might get a message stating that you are not able to install the application because you are not authorized on this computer. If you get this message and there is not another iTunes account configured for another iPhone on this computer then you need to authorize this computer for your iTunes account.

After switching your ISP(Internet Service Provider) your email accounts seem to no longer be functioning. Typically this is caused by the outgoing (SMTP) mail server not being accepted from the new Internet providers network. This is normal and one of the main tools that ISP’s use to fight Spam e-mails. They do not allow people not on their network to send email using there email servers. Follow the steps below to change your outbound mail server to your new provider so you can still use the email account from your old Internet provider.

One bit of information you will need before you begin is the SMTP server of your new provider. You can either look this up on the Internet or you can call your new providers technical support and they should be able to provide it to you.
